EAA - Daily update
Today at EAA Airventure 2012, I had the great fortune to meet Lt. Col Cary W Salter (retired) while looking over the many P-51 Mustangs that were being displayed.
Charlotte's Chariot II - pictured below is owned by Dan Fordice (Vicksburg, MS) and was repainted to look like the plane that Mr. Salter flew during WW II
I talked with Mr. Salter for about 10 minutes or so about his experiences in WW II and about this being his very first trip to EAA Airventure 2012

According to estimates, 740 WW II Veterans are passing away daily (1)
Please give a BIG "Thank You" any serviceman or woman that you were to meet.

Mr. Salter explained to me that he was an instructor pilot and trained pilots during the war - later on he was assigned to the 354th Fighter Group.
